Out of all of the fantasy books I've read, the worldbuilding in the book is absolutely mind-blowing. There are so many aspects of different cultures blended into this book that you can really feel the colonialism present in the book. The characters are so relatable by the way, with them being a classic group: the brain, the charmer, the witty leader, the comedian with a surprising amount of common sense, and the soft-hearted one we all cherish. If you wanna get immersed into a book so much that you finish reading it in record time AND go into a state of sustained post-book blues where you literally could not bring yourself to do anything because you were grieving the end of the series, then read this book. It's a trilogy, and the books only get better.
