The Maps of Memory was a very curious sort of book. The main character was always wondering about a certain ship, and as the memories were unveiled to her, she began to see the truth in her family and loved ones. The book was intriguing because of this, finding out the history of the ship made it hard to put the book down! The setting of the place was also beautiful, similar to Venice, Italy, buildings were built on large stakes right above the water. I loved how the main characters made an effort to help heal their loved ones and children who did not have parents as well! I recommend reading this book to find a sense of healing and happiness for whatever we have in life.
